Millgate House & Garden: an elegant Georgian town house which fronts onto Richmond Market Place and at the back looks out over the River Swale and its waterfalls. Tim Culkin and Austin Lynch, owners since 1980, are 'creative and cultured, with a strong dash of northern grit', according to the Sunday Telegraph. The magnificent walled garden is an R.H.S. Partnership Garden and was selected by Alan Titchmarsh in his 'Britain's Best Gardens 2015'.
