Michael Bilton and Garry Brannigan: Parallel Lines

The Café at Tennants Garden Rooms, Leyburn

Two celebrated Dales artists have produced ten new works in contrasting styles linked by a single aim - to create art fired by emotion, not observation. Michael Bilton’s paintings, which juxtapose landscape-inspired organic motifs and linear geometric shapes, are made with oils on canvas. Garry Brannigan’s bold and colourful studio-inspired designs are painted with acrylic on canvas (pictured)The artworks are for sale.

Katharine Holmes

Hudson House Gallery, Reeth

Katharine Holmes specialises in working outdoors in all weathers and her work brilliantly captures the atmosphere of being in the Yorkshire Dales. Here she will exhibit framed oil and acrylic paintings, on canvas and board, as well as drawings and paintings on paper. There will also be some wall space for pictures drawn by those attending Katharine’s workshop on 26 May. The artworks are for sale.

The Wensleydale School: Nature in View

Rachel Antill: Nowhere Everywhere

Swaledale artist Rachel Antill’s beautifully expressive pictures, made with pencil, oils and gold leaf on paper, explore the Samkhya philosophy of Prakriti and Purusha - the opposing energies of movement and stillness. The artworks are for sale.

Farming through the Seasons

Keld Resource Centre

An exhibition by local photographers shining a spotlight on farming across Yorkshire and beyond. Brought to us by Tees-Swale: Naturally Connected, the exhibition explores the ups and downs of working in the landscape throughout the farming year.
